DRx Clinic: First Consultation and Derma-Rx Products #1

Everyone want clear and flawless skin. Since I had been struggling with acne problem for almost 5 years, I finally decide to consult and get my skin treated by The DRx Clinic. I trust DRx Clinic will help me improve my skin condition. I gave my trust and faith with DRx Clinic. 

Yesterday I was paid a visit to The DRx Clinic for first consultation. They are situated at Plaza Damas. I was appointed to  Dr.Chiam. 

It's doesn't look like a typical clinic at all, however, it gives me a very relaxing and comforting feeling about this clinic. Very clean, modern and sleek in design. The DRx Clinic has a counter where you register, and then a waiting area for you to see your doc, and a ‘dispensary’ counter where you collect your prescribed Derma-Rx products and make payment 

THE STEPS OF THE FIRST CONSULTATION AT DRX CLINIC GO LIKE THIS:

1) Register – fill in a very simple form about your particulars.

2) See a doc – Doc examines your condition and advises which Derma-Rx products to include in your regime.

3) Consultant thoroughly explains the products prescribed for you and how to use them (this step takes place in another cubicle room).

4) Consultant brings you to another room to take front and profile photos of your face to keep in the clinic’s database. The photos are strictly confidential and for reference only.

5) Wait to collect your products at pharmacy and make payment.

After my consultant Alice help me to remove my makeup, A quick mugshot at the photo analysis room. This allows the clinic to keep a record of my skin condition for the doctor to refer on my next visit. 

Dr.Chiam was my appointed doctor. She is a very sweet and knowledgeable lady whom made me feel so relax and comfortable during the consultation. My consultation was very quick and yet detailed, After assessing my skin condition, Dr.Chiam asked in detail about my skin regime and what product I've used before. She said my skin is super dry, well this is super shocked me, cuz I went to countless facials, those beautician told me that I had oily skin, so that why I bought so many "CONTROL OIL" products, Dr.Chiam told me this is also the main reason to makes my face became more worst. And Dr Chiam told me I have to stop using any others product that I using now. 

After my skin consultation is completed with Dr Chiam, my consultant Alice brought me to another room so that she can explain the steps of using the skin care products prescribed to me.  

Once explanation is done, I waited to collect my product at the counter. So that concludes my first visit to DRx Clinic! My next consultation is 3 weeks later, where Dr. Chiam will evaluate how well the products are working for me and will see if any tweaking to my regime is required.

I was given careful instructions by one of the nurses at DRx on how to use each product from the Derma-Rx range.

My Personalised Derma-Rx Regime

The combination of products prescribed to each patient is customised to his/her skin conditions, so it yields the best results. You don’t need what you don’t need. I had to apply my products in the following sequence, but it may be different for different people. 

What I got: 

Derma-Rx skincare programs are built upon a simple and practical 3-step system. 

Prime, Remedy and Protect

Step 1: PRIME 

Milk Cleanser, Foaming Cleanser and Toner 

Milk Cleanser is a refreshing and gentle exfoliating cleanser for all skin types with natural botanical extracts, like Papaya and Mulberry. 

Foaming Cleanser is a hydrating cleanser for all skin types that contains optimal concentrations of Marine Algae extracts that gently exfoliates for a soothing and refreshing wash. 

Toner is an alcohol-free fluid with Glycolic and Salicylic acid to enhance the cleansing process. It contains Allantoin, which helps to restore moisture to the skin, leaving the skin feeling revitalized and supple. 

Step 2: Remedy 

BF (Blemish Formula), CF(Comedone Formula), *C (Max-C), H (Hydrator), 4(Vit-A-Gel), ASL(Acne Spot Lotion).

Blemish Formula is an all-natural formulation to control and reduce the occurrence of blemishes and break-outs without any adverse side-effects of strong chemical agents. It controls the production of excessive sebum and helps to soothe irritated skin. 

Comedone Formula is a natural formulation contaning botanical extracts, which work to reduce the appearance of comedones (blackheads & whiteheads). It assists in dissolving and softening comedones and prevents new comedone formation by loosening the follicular plug and also by reducing sebaceous activity. 

Max-C is a potent anti-oxidant formula based on the highest possible stable concentration of Vitamin C. It counteracts free radicals, encourages collagen and elastin production to control the adverse effects of photo-damage, including wrinkling, sagging and other symptoms of premature skin aging. 

Hydrator is a light moisturizing formula containing Hyaluronic Acid and Green Tea extract to hydrate and condition the skin, while protecting collagen from being broken down. It further nourishes the skin to keep it supple, firm and smooth and is recommended for oily skin that is averse to traditionally rich moisturizers. 

Vit-A-Gel is a unique formulation containing a synergistic blend of Green Tea extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Retinol and Salicylic Acid (BHA) to stimulate and increase cell-turnover, with additional comedolytic action. It also reduces the appearance of fine lines and uneven skin texture. 

Acne Spot Lotion tames pimples during breakout, dries up red bumps 

Step 3: Protect 

Tinted Sunscreen SPF 30+ 

Tinted Sunscreen SPF 30+ is an advanced tinted formulation that provides protection against harmful UV radiantion while ensuring minimal risk of irritation. With a smooth powdery feel, it is ideal for post-laser or post-procedure sun-protection
